PBs for Duffy and Cronin in IFAM Brussels

In Brussels yesterday, May 24th, at the IFAM meet, Day 1, Craig Duffy had a fine series of races. In the morning he finished 2nd in his 100 in a time of 10.47, the wind however exceeded the legal limit being +2.50. Then in the afternoon in the final series of 100s once again he took 2nd place recording a new PB of 10.58 (+0.9). That time places him in 4th place on the Clonliffe all-time 100 list. In between Craig ran the 2nd leg on the Irish U/23 4 x 100 relay team that finished 3rd in a time of 40.66.

Also competing on day one were 2 of the middle distance athletes, both of whom had races really to forget, Sean Carrigg was very disappointed with his 1.59.02 800 and likewise in the final race of the programme, late last night, Stephen Cashin in the 5000 ran 14.57.91.

Sunday the 25th, day 2 Craig Duffy was again in action on the Irish U/23 4 x 100 team, again on leg 2, the team finished 2nd going faster than yesterday, 40.53.

A fine run in the later program on Sunday for Sean Cronin in the 1500, running a new PB of 3.46.86 as he finished 5th in his race.

Also over the weekend on the track, Ben Coughlan, on Friday night in the Comeback 5K in Battersea, London in 15.09.04. Meanwhile in Canada Eoin Taggart finished 39th in the Ottawa 10k in 31.34.
