The big road race Saturday was the Bio Freeze national 5K held in the Phoenix Park on a fantastic summer’s morning in Dublin. Another fine turnout of Clonliffe athletes with some 35 finishers from the club 1st home in 13th was Sean Doran in a time of 15.23. 1st of the clubs women athletes was Alannah Cooley (18.50). The senior men’s team finished just out of the medals in 4th position with the women’s team finishing in 6th. Full Clonliffe results:

Also this morning Meadhbh O’Sullivan ran in the Killarney half marathon completing the hilly (no surprise there) course in a time of 1:50.47.
Friday night, the 16th Eamonn Harkin was 3rd (18.26) in the Kilmacrenan 5k, Co. Donegal.
Sunday the 18th the Fastlane races took place at the Grand Canal in Dublin, Eleanor Alexander was 1st woman, 18th overall, in the 10 K in a time of 39.27. In the half marathon Barry McKinney round 1:51.59 and Nosipho Mjyakho 3: 04.34.
