Today was a very big day in the schools athletics calendar, the 123.ie All Ireland schools track and field championships in Tullamore Co Offaly. Emily Bolton shone in this morning’s senior girls 3000 winning in a time of 10.01.77. At the latter end of the programme Emily also took in the senior 1500 where she finished 2nd (4.36.01). Not a bad day’s work at all for Emily – gold and silver, and she still has another school year to go!
Lorcan Benjacar also justified his favourite tag winning the senior boys 1500 in 3.58.12.
Christopher Lynch also had a fine day taking silver in the senior 400 (49.29).
Rory Quill ran a PB in the senior 800 of 1.53.91 in taking 6th place. In the minor boys high Jump Eoghan Thompson equaled his PB with 1.50, placing 7th on count back.

In the senior girls 4 x 100 relay Dominican College with Sarah McDonnell and Emily Jachna took superb gold.
