Clonliffe Harriers AC are delighted to announced that UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic have become the club’s new sponsor. The announcement was made in the Morton Stadium, Dublin attended by athletes Cathal Doyle and Efrem Gidey. Cathal, an Olympic 1500 semi-finalist in Paris, has just secured the World Championships qualifying and Efrem at the end of May made history by winning Ireland’s first ever gold medal at the European 10,000m cup.

As part of the partnership Clonliffe athletes will proudly wear the UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic on their competition singlets and warmup gear. In addition to the sponsorship of Clonliffe Harriers UPMC SSC will also sponsor the Morton Mile at the Morton Games in Morton Stadium on July 11.
Morton Games, a World Athletics Continental Tour Meet, is hosted and promoted by Clonliffe Harriers AC and the Morton mile is synonymous with the club. The UPMC SSC Morton Mile will feature Ireland’s best milers, including Cathal Doyle the winner of last year’s iconic race racing against top international athletes.
This is a hugely exciting development for Clonliffe Harriers and Morton Games. Clonliffe Harriers, who in 2026 will celebrate its 140th anniversary, has a membership of in excess of 800 athletes ranging in ages from 8 years of age up to 80 plus years of age, across the whole spectrum of athletics: sprinters, field eventers, middle distance, Marathon runners and cross country.
