Clonliffe Weekend Round up

Thursday July 17th at the BHAA DCC 5k road race in Irishtown Sean Doran was 2nd (16.01). For results see bhaa.ie.

Friday, 18th Marcus Lawler was on the track at the Puma Fast Meet at the Enwag Stadium, Wetzlar, Germany where he ran 10.69 in the 100 for 5th and 20.97 for 2nd in the 200.

Also on Friday Sergiu Ciobanu was 3rd in the Bob Burke 4 mile in Grange, Co. Cork clocking 20.42.

Saturday the 19th day 1 of the AAI Games took place in Carlow where the nationsl 10,000 was won by Sean Doran in 32.36.26. Sean taking his first national title.

Sunday, 20th, the National 10 mile took place over the usual tough Phoenix Park course bright and early this morning. Ian Guiden made a solid 10 mile debut finishing 5th in 51.26. The men’s team of Ian, Maxime Bernard and Phil O’Doherty placed 5th. Jessie Picone was the first Clonliffe woman home in a fine 9th position, 63.46.

Sunday AAI Games in Carlow: Fintan Keirns won the 1500 in 3.58.18. Christopher Lynch was 2nd in the 400 in 49.60. In the 100 Emily Jachna was 3rd in her 100 (12.64), Pierce Friel ran 11.33 for 3rd in series 1 and an identical time for 2nd in series 2. Eamonn Fahey clocked 11.59 for 3rd in his 100.
