Clonliffe athletes see out the 2025 Graded season

Tonight saw the final Dublin graded meet of the season at Morton Stadium with a fair few Clonliffe athletes in action. On the card tonight was the 100 for sprinters, 1500 for the middle distance athletes together with field events. Emily Jachna took 4th place in her 100 in a time of 12.74 and then in the final again took 4th this time in 12.76. In grade C/D Sarah McDonnell was 2nd (13.58) and Niamh Tenanty 5th (13.95).

Of the 100 men in action fastest Clonliffe athlete on the night was Chris Sibanda in grade A finishing 3rd in 10.78, Pierce Friel was 1st in grade B (11.27), also in grade B Evan Storey was 3rd in 11.80. In grade C Matthew Keogh took 4th place (11.65) with Sam O’Reilly 7th (11.66) and in grade D Kamil Tomko was 6th (13.21).

In the 1500s Katie Halpin finished 4th in grade C (5.06.58). Sean Carrigg was 10th in grade A (4.05.41) and in heat 2 of grade A Aidan Benjacar was 7th (4.08.31). Aaron Murray took 11th in grade B (4.14.83) and in grade C Damien Prendergast was 2nd (4.21.11) with Stephen Lyons 4th (4.24.14). James Murphy took 1st place in grade D in 4.27.22 with Tom Monks 23rd (6.14.69).

Joe Gibbons threw the 1KG discus 21.15, and was 3rd in the high jump (1.05).

That brought the curtain down on the 2025 Dublin graded series.
