It’s been a busy Saturday for Clonliffe Harriers athletes today at track meets all over Europe. At the European U/20 Championships Davey Davitt ran the anchor leg on the Irish 4 x 400 team that finished 4th in their heat clocking 3.12.28, unfortunately the team’s interest in the Championships came to an end. Christopher Lynch was a squad member.
Cathal Doyle took 2nd in the 1,000 in Poland tonight in a PB of 2.17.37.
At the IFAM Oordegem meet in Belgium Marcus Lawler was 10th overall in the 200 in 20.85 in a -1.5 wind and 25th in the 100 (-0.1). Garrett O’Toole was 2nd in heat 5 of the 800 in 1.48.24. Looks like Efrem Gidey was a DNF in the 5000.
Fintan Kerins clocked a big 5000 PB of 14.26.69 in the Manchester BMC meet.
Also, closer to home, the NI Championships took place at the Mary Peters Track in Belfast, where Luca Logue-Fonseca finished 2nd in the 100, 10.69. In the 1500 James Murphy 4.18.42 for 10th place.
