Clonliffe club members, seniors, masters and juniors (U/17’s upwards) can now enter the club’s annual Christmas cake race which will take place in Santry Park, thanks to the cooperation of Fingal, on Saturday, December 20. The race will take place later in the evening, when the park is somewhat quieter, starting at 3:45 PM, as usual the race will be run on an open handicap basis and will be a mixed race for men and women and all age categories. The prize-giving will take place, along with the announcement of the club athletes of the year, later that evening in the Clonliffe club bar from 7 PM onwards with hot food being served.
To enter the cake race if possible please do so through your group coach, the group coach to then email events.clonliffeharriersac@gmail.com with the names of athletes and estimated 2 mile time, the race is 3 x 1000 +m laps, adding up to approximately 3200m. If you are not with a training group you can of course enter by email on the same basis.
Entry will close at 2 PM on Wednesday December 17th, the start list and the running order will be published on this website on December 19th. Any late entries can only be accommodated by athletes running ‘off scratch’.
