Some magnificent 800 running at the NIA tonight in the track & field live series. In the elite B race Sean Carrigg made it 3 PB’s from 3 races in a matter of 10 or so days as he clocked a brilliant race winning 1.53.83. Later in the senior 800 Damien Prendergast went sub 2 for the first time, and boy did he go sub- 2, again it was a race win for Clonliffe, in a very classy 1.56.52.
In the pole vault Andrej Dmitrenko also chalked up a Clonliffe win with a best of 3.40m.
Rachel Ardiff finished 7th in her 800 in a time of 2.42.51.
There were also a number of the Clonliffe juvenile athletes in action, in the 800s U/14 boys Max Bamford took 2nd place, Rhys Jenkins was 3rd, David Chilug 5th and Ben McHugh 6th.
In the 60s: U/14 boys 4th Ben McHugh, 6th David Chilug. Then in heat 2 Isaac O’Neill was 1st with Max Bamford 2nd. Finally U/16 girls 4th Aliyah Riyad.
