Mid week action at T & F Live series

It was another decent night’s work for Clonliffe athletes at the track and Field live series at the NIA this evening. Niamh Kelly knocked over a second off her indoor 800 pb as she recorded a time of 2.12.04 in finishing 5th in her race.

Sean Harman recorded not one but two PB’s, both over 60. In series 1 he took 1st place running a time of 7.06 and then in series 2 again was 1st this time going even quicker 7.04. Mark Murray was in the same races as Sean finishing 4th in series 1 (7.36) and 5th in series 2 (7.41). Brandon Michini made his Clonliffe debut finishing 1st in his 60 in a time of 7.38, in series 2 he was 2nd in 7.69. Brian Mlauzi was also making his club debut, he was 2nd in series 1 of the 60s, 7.70 and in series 2 he was also 2nd (7.69). Thomas Moran ran 7.70 in his 60 and then in the Masters 200 finished 3rd (25.10). Colin Daly had a busy night, in series 1 of the 60 he ran 8.52 going quicker in series 2 (8.41) and then for good measure was 3rd in the long jump (4.49).

Niamh Tenanty took a nice win in series 1 of the 60 in a time of 8.41 and series 2 ran 8.48. Snezana Bechtina clocked 8.50 in series 1 and in series 2 took 3rd place in 8.39. 3rd also in the master women’s race over 200 for Katherine Markey (30.85).

In the juvenile races Adrianna Madrezynska was 3rd in the girls U/14 60 and in the boys U/14 60 Rhys Daly was 2nd. The U/14 girls 800 saw Ava Fagan take 2nd place with Lucy Fagan 5th. Finally in the U/16 boys 800 3rd place for Darren Cronin and 5th for Seamus Phelan.

Final round of the series is March 4th.
