The Irish senior team performed very well at the European team Championships division 2 in Maribor, Slovenia over the course of the weekend. Marcus Lawler was on the 4 x 100 team that set another national record, the 2nd in a matter of days, as the team clocked a time of 38.88 to win heat A finished 2nd overall yesterday, Saturday the 28th. Grace Casey was 14th in the javelin with a best of 42.33. In the 2nd day, Sunday, Eoin Sheridan was 14th in the discus with a best of 50.15 and Marcus in the 200 finished 6th in heat 2, 6th overall, in a time of 20.81.
Meanwhile at the U/20 Invitational Event in Mannheim, Germany Davey Davitt was part of the 4 x 400 team that also set a national U/20 record – 3: 08.31. In the discus Megan Comiskey finished 6th with a best throw of 43.48.
