Dublin Juvenile Cross Country (even ages) on Sunday

Eugenia Bateson: Sunday 12th October will see 74 Juvenile Clonliffe Athletes take part in the Dublin Juvenile Even Age Championships in the Phoenix Park at the Magazine Fort.

Parking is at the Papal Cross Car Park but with high numbers entered public transport or car pooling is advisable.  Athletes are advised to be at the Magazine Fort 90 minutes before their race time and meet at the Clonliffe Tent.  Numbers will be available for collection from the Tent

We still need volunteers to help do course marshal.  This course is particularly spectator friendly so you will still get to see your child compete.  It is a condition of competition that we provide marshals or the  race numbers are withheld unfortunately so it important that parents help out on the day.  The coaches will be busy warming up the athletes, organising numbers and generally preparing the athletes for their race so are not in a position to Marshall on the day.  Please text Eugenia on 086 1722451 to give your name for volunteering.

Closing date for entry to this competition is Friday 10th October at mid day.  THERE ARE STRICTLY NO LATE ENTRIES.  Athletes entered to date are below.  If you are not on the list and want to run please enter ASAP on the below link

Every place counts in cross country so no matter how tired you feel, you have worked hard so keep pushing for every place.  Top 12 athletes qualify for Nationals with top 4 teams, for those of you who are new to Cross Country.  The team is generally made up of the 1st 6 across the line.  The first 4 athletes score and the lowest score wins the team gold.
