Friday evening Colm Rooney won his “home” race, the Portmarnock 5k Beach race in 15.45. Eoin Keating took 8th place in 17.59. 1st of the Clonliffe women home, taking 3rd place and 1st W40 was Ciara Peelo (20.32) with Cindy Hickey a place behind in both categories (20.49). Other Clonliffe: Nathan Pearce 19.41, Alan Fowler 20.16, John Torsney 21.20, Shane Caffrey 21.32, Anne Lyons 24.27.
Also on Friday Lee Maginnis was 2st in the Strangford Festival 5k in 19.36.
On Thursday evening, August 21,Cathal McHale took 5th place in the Celbridge 5K in 15.17. Mark McDonald clocked 16.20 and Maurice McCrohan 22.18.
Saturday the 23rd Paige Elliott was 1st woman in the Cherry Orchard 5K time of 22.30.
