Race Report – McCarrick Plate – Thursday 8th May 2025: The third race in the 2025 Clonliffe Harriers Grand Prix Series took place in glorious weather on Thursday evening 8th May 2025. In one of the largest fields to date the 2.5 mile course provided plenty of exciting competition.
Open handicap
The race was run as an open handicap with competitors starting at different times. The first runner was off at scratch with the final runner some 9 minutes later.
Grand Prix Result – Anne Marie Fenton wins McCarrick Plate
In a very competitive race, the first three in the Grand Prix race were all newcomers. Anne Marie Fenton in her first year competing won the McCarrick Plate in an actual time of 17:48. In second place and keeping it in the family was her partner Brian Martin in a time of 14:59. In third place was Lyndsey Byrne in 19:36.

Fastest times
Rachel McFadden broke the course record of 15:15 set by Bernadette Kiernan in 2014. Congratulations to Rachel who ran a super time of 14:55. Ray Dunne had the fastest time of the night finishing the course in 13:56.
