In mostly cloudy and dry weather conditions the Ahern 10 Mile Clonliffe Club Championship took place on Saturday morning 11th October 2025. In one of the biggest fields in recent years 42 athletes completed the four-lap course. Many athletes were using the distance as part of the final preparation for this Year’s Dublin Marathon. In addition to the Clonliffe Club Championship this was the 14th race in the 2025 Clonliffe Grand Prix Series.
Sean Doran – Men’s 10 Mile Club Champion
Sean Doran set off at a blistering pace and completed the first lap in 0:13:07. At this pace there was no catching him and he led the field home in a time of 0:56:22. The battle for second place was extremely close between David Mullen and Scott Crowley. On the line David shaded it with a time of 1:03:00 followed by Scott in 1:03:06. Congratulations to all three athletes
Rachel McFadden Women’s 10 MiIe Club Champion
In tan exciting women’s race Rachel McFadden continued her winning ways completing the 10-mile course 1:04:39. In second place and having another fine run was Peigi Allen 1:12:31. In third place was the ever-improving Maura Matthews in 1:12:51. Congratulations to all three athletes.

Robbie Burns wins the 10 Mile Grand Prix

Robbie got his first GP win of the year in the 10 Mile Championship in a time of 1:07:03. Aimee Ahern was second posting a time of 1:18:20. In third place was David Mullen in 1:03:00. Congratulation to all three athletes.

Post race presentations of prizes
Maurice Ahern presented the Ahern Trophy to Sean Doran, the 2025 champion. David Mullen and Scott Crowley were also presented with their prizes.
Tom Monks presented the Agatha Monks Trophy to Rachel McFadden, the 2025 champion. Peigi Allen and Maura Matthews received their championships prizes.
Maurice Ahern presented the 10 Mile Grand Prix prizes to Robbie Burns, Aimee Ahern and David Mullen.
