The autumn cross country festival takes place in Abbottstown this Sunday, October 18. This year’s event takes on additional significance with the same venue now also confirmed for not only the National Cross Country on November 22 but also the Dublin cross country championships on November 1.
Sunday’s event gives the opportunity for athletes to race on the course and get a quality cross country race into the legs. As usual the Autumn cross country will also be used by the selectors to select teams for the British and Irish Masters cross country international, which will also take place at the same venue, the week before nationals.
The Clonliffe teams for Sunday are:
Men – Fintan Kerins, Ian Guiden, Ben Guiden, Colm Rooney, Conor Fitzpatrick, Damien Prendergast, Tom Breslin, Simon Caer, Billy Stafford.
Women – Helena Butterly, Laura Tuite, Alannah Cooley, Chloe Heaslip.
