There was an outstanding performance by young Clonliffe athlete Channing O’Shea in today’s All Ireland schools indoor combined event championships in Athlone. Channing competing for his school Gaelcholaiste Reachann in the 1st year event incredibly set new PB’s in all 4 events: 5.32 in the long jump, the best in the competition, 2.21.93 in the 800, in the 60 hurdles 9.94 and then 9.03 in the shot. The result was a points total of 1850 which secured All Ireland bronze. This was a brilliant outcome and just reward for all his hard work and dedication.
