Clonliffe Harriers would like to draw members attention to the Dublin Marathon policy concerning number swapping. Number swapping is not permitted. Clonliffe Harriers members should not swap numbers or take a number belonging to another athlete. There are two specific reasons for this – health and safety, so that in the event of an athlete having a medical emergency the correct family can be contacted and secondly as this is also the national marathon, results will be affected if an athlete wears the wrong number – if you are a senior male athlete, presumably you do not wish to be a scoring member of a women’s masters team for example. We would ask all of our members to observe fully this policy. To read in full: https://irishlifedublinmarathon.ie/number-swapping-will-result-in-disqualification/
