Craig Duffy’s superb sprinting season continued tonight at the Cork graded meet where he clocked a magnificent new 100 PB of 10.47 (+1.3), going sub 10.50, in a legal wind, for the first time.
At the Dublin graded in Morton Stadium it was very much a case of the javelin throwers being once again to the fore with a great turnout of ‘Worm Killers”. Hubert Adamczyk was 1st in the men’s javelin (800g) with a best of 48.40, 3rd was Stephen Bailey (34.60). In the 700g category Nikita Karpej was 2nd (36.47), 3rd was Conor Tynan (35.13) and 4th Conor Phelan (23.04).
In the women’s javelin Mia Primke was 2nd (35.52) with Maeve Forde 6th (24.04).
Christopher Lynch took 4th position in the 400 grade A in a time of 49.66. In grade D Kamil Tomko finished 3rd (60.97).
Katie Halpin finished 4th in the 1500 grade C (5.17.14). In grade D was once again a great Clonliffe battle, 3rd place went to Ayana Callaghan (5.26.21), 6th Mae Rose Mason (5.34.93), 7th Rachel Ardiff (5.36.28), 10th Rebecca Finn (6.21.29).
In the men’s 1500 grade C saw the Sherlock brother in team action: Tom finishing 5th (4.21.85) with Niall 6th (4.21.90). Fiachra O’Donovan ran 5.02.43 in grade D.
Excellent performances also by Simon Galligan to win the hammer with a 62.78 best. In the shot put (7 KG) Redeem Ngadze took 1st place with 12.22 and in the 6 KG 1st place for Niall Allen (12.02).
Also at the Meath Track & field Live Bilal Kanimodo ran a fine 10.87 (+0.2) in his heat and in the final 10.78, with a +2.1.
