The Frank Duffy 10 mile, incorporating the Dublin 10 mile championships, took place in pretty warm conditions, once again, in Dublin’s Phoenix Park this morning. There was a great turnout of almost 30 Clonliffe athletes led home in 10th by Anto Doran who clocked a time of 56.06. Anto in the Dublin Championships took gold in the M40 category and also led the Clonliffe men’s senior team to 2nd place. The rest of the team was Karl Nolan, 56.54, Oran Finegan 59.14 and David Connolly 59.25. The championship was won by Raheny with Brother Pearse 3rd.
On the individual front Oran took bronze in the M45 category, Brian O’Reilly took gold M55 and Cindy Hickey took W45 bronze in 69.00.

On August 12th Natalia Lungu was 2nd woman in the Liberties 4 mile road race in Dublin in 26.31.
Last weekend, August 7, Paulette Griffin ran 23.06 in the Kells Heritage 5K. That same evening Fergal O’Shea was 17th, 1st M60 in the Kilgobnet 4 mile in Co Kerry.
