Like tonight’s weather it was a mixed bag of results for the Clonliffe contingent at the UCD track meet in Belfield. There was a PB for both Niamh Kelly in the 800 A as she placed 5th in 2.10.32 and for Alannah Cooley in the B race of 2.20.17.
In the men’s 800 Sean Carrigg was 5th (1.54.90) with Damien Prendergast 7th (1.56.75)).
Laura Tuite took 5th place in the 1500 B in 4.45.10 and in the men’s A race Fintan Kerins was 9th (3.55.84). Cian Murray 4.15.09, in the 1500 B.
Craig Duffy having cruised to victory in the 100 heat 10.49, tweaked his hamstring and made the wise decision to skip the final. It was 3rd place for Christopher Lynch in the 400 in a time of 48.85
In the pre-programme Snezana Bechtina was 5th in her 100 (12.77) whilst Emily Jachna 4th in her race (12.53) and Adam Festus was 5th in his 100 (11.31).
