The Dublin Novice cross country championships take place this coming Sunday, October 12 in the Phoenix Park (Magazine Fort area, parking at papal cross). The novice Championships will be preceded by the Dublin even age cross country championships (further details on that aspect of follow).
The Clonliffe women’s team entered is: Alanna Burke, Caoimhe Curran, Mel Curran, Jess Gallagher, Sarah Hawkshaw, Jenny Johnston, Aisling Keogh, Lauren McKiernan, Ailbhe Morgan, Meadhbh O’Sullivan, Sarah Owens, Niamh Quinn, Fionnuala Smith, Grace Twomey.
The men’s team is: Peter Bissett, Peter Bohan, Andrew D’Arcy, Lee Duddy, Mahad Egaal, Conor Fitzpatrick, Andrew Gaffney, Kevin Gormley, Eamon Harkin, Greg Hosseny, Malcom Kiplagat, Evan Lynch, Stephen Lyons, Rob Mackey, Cian Murray, Darragh Morris, Ben Power, Damien Prendergast, Cillin Sheerin, Niall Sherlock.
The women’s race is scheduled for 1:50 PM, a distance of 4000m (1 x 1000 lap +2 x 1500 laps). The men’s race is at 2:15 PM, 6000m (4 x 1500 laps). Athletes should be parked and on the course to meet the respective club captains 75 minutes before race time. Please be aware that parking may be difficult as there is a juvenile championship before the novice championship, please car share.
