A very quiet weekend all round with athletes recovering from last weekend’s indoor league and intermediate/Masters cross country, although as usual there were some Clonliffe athletes in racing mode.
Saturday the 21st at the Wicklow Hospice half marathon: Terence Neary 1:45.38, Alan Fowler 1:45.41 and Brendan Pollard 1:49.28.
Sunday: Stephen Harkness was an action at the Connaught Indoor championships held today at the TUS arena, Athlone where he won the M35 800 in a time of 2.08.80
Also on Sunday the BHAA cross country season resumes, after weather enforced cancellations of late with the Teachers 6K in Clonkeen Park where Niall Sherlock took 2nd place. Also competing was Diarmuid Doyle 38th overall, 60 M65 and Yvonne McDonagh, 61st overall and 2nd W50.
Missed from last weekend, February 15, Eoin Pierce in the Battersby 10k ran 31.03
