National Intermediate & Masters XC full details

The national intermediate and masters cross country takes place on Sunday, February 15. Clonliffe are acting as host club, sincere thanks to our club members who have volunteered to help out with the course building on Friday (meet on site at 10.00am) and then with the stewarding on Sunday. Volunteers to meet in the Special Olympics car park at 9 AM on Sunday morning.

The Clonliffe teams for the national intermediate and masters cross country our strong and hopes are high that team medals can be won. All please note that as a result of the appalling weather of late and severe waterlogging on the course race distances have been reduced from those advertised earlier by 1000m. Furthermore the course is now confined to using the 1K loop only. (Below are the Clonliffe teams and the adjusted race distances).

Intermediate women (Race distance 4,000m): Hope Saunders, Alannah Cooley, Lauren McKiernan, Niamh Quinn, Grace Twomey, Jenny Johnston, Ailbhia Morgan, Sarah Hawkshaw, Katie Halpin, Emma Campbell, Bronagh Greaney.

Intermediate men (Race distance 6,000m): Mahad Mohamed Egaal, Malcom Kiplagat, Tom Breslin, Ben Coughlan, Damien Prendercast, Conor Fitzpatrick, Ian Mc Aweeney.

Master men M35+ (Race distance 6,000m): Colm Rooney, Sergiu Ciobanu, Karl Nolan, Cathal McHale, James Dunne, Niall Sherlock, Thomas Sherlock, Peter Bissett.

Master men M50+ (Race distance 6,000m) : Alan Worrall

Timetable:

Athletes: 15 MM spikes will definitely be needed! Don’t forget your club vest. Please be at the course 75 minutes before your race. Report to the respective club captains.

Volunteers on duty: boots, rain jackets, hats and a sense of humour will definitely be required!
