There was a big contingent of club members taking part in the Marathon race series half marathon in Dublin’s Phoenix Park this morning. The Clonliffe crew was led home in 12th by Anto Doran clocking 73:59, next in was Paul Keenan in 21st (75:53). First of the Clonliffe women in a time of 1:31.59 was Cindy Hickey.
This race was also a Dublin half marathon championship. The results are showing the Clonliffe senior men taking bronze with a team of Anto Doran, Paul Keenan and Mick McMahon. The Clonliffe W35 team of Cindy Hickey, Claire Smith and Peigi Allen have taken team gold.
Individually Anto Doran is the Dublin M40 champion with Karl Nolan taking bronze. Mick McMahon is the Dublin M45 champion, Brian O’Reilly has taken bronze in the M55 with bronze also for Cindy Hickey W45 and Mary Ketterer W50.

Also today Eoin Maguire ran 73.56 in the Belfast Half marathon. Further afield James Murphy 77.34 in the Copenhagen Half and in Amsterdam at the Dam to Dam 10 mile Emma Campbell 70.54, a PB by almost 2 minutes.
In the USA on Friday Sean Cronin ran his first cross country race for La Salle College, the 4 mile Haveford College Main Line Invitational finishing 8th (19.51).
