The latest round of the Dublin Graded league took place in very blustery conditions at Morton Stadium on Wednesday evening, June 3. The sprints were ‘run with the wind ‘, down the opposite side of the normal finish, Marcus Lawler clocked the fastest time of the evening, 10.57 (+1.3). Also in the 100s Bilal Kanimodo was 6th in the same race clocking a time of 11.17. In A race heat 1 Brandon Muchini ran 11.08. In grade B Christopher Lynch took 2nd place 11.36. In grade C Matthew Keogh, who also took in the high jump – more on that later – took 1st place 11.60 (+1.8) with Thomas Moore and 2nd in 11.87.
Emily Jachna was 1st in the women’s 100 grade B in 12.77, although for this race the wind had picked up considerably +5.2, with Grainne Diamond Ebs 2nd (12.92). In grade D Maggie Szuta 2nd 13.76 (+3.6) and Lara O’Connor 3rd (14.03).
In the 5000 A Cian Murray 4th place in 16.00.08, Eoin Maguire was 1st in grade B in 15.59.22, in the D race Carl Fleming 21.56.40.
The final track event was the 800 where Damien Prendergast was 2nd in grade A 1.58.26, Aaron Murray 8th in grade B in (2.06.59). Josh Chalmers was 1st in grade C (2.07.51) and Peter Bissett 9th in grade D (2.23.58).
In the night’s field events Matthew Keogh, not content with having run a fine 100, PB’d in the high jump winning with a jump of 1.75. Likewise Maggie Szuta took in the high jump winning with a best of 1.35. Dylan Jones took 4th place in the hammer with a best throw of 49.08.
