On Saturday Marcus Lawler continued his season, post European Championships at the Lee Valley series in London. In the 100 he was 5th in 10.70 (-0.2) and in the 100 clocked a fast 20.99 to take 1st, unfortunately the wind had picked up +2.7.
Also on Saturday on the roads Anto Doran took all of 70 seconds of his half marathon PB as he ran a time of 72.15 to finish in 8th place in the Greenway half marathon in Co Waterford.
Friday the 28th saw a fine run from Eoin Keating in the Portmarnock beach 5K finishing in 2nd place (16.42). Other Clonliffe in this race – 15th Cian O’Raghellaigh 19.42, 24th Alan Fowler 20.11, 7th woman was Ciara Peelo clocking 20.50, Christopher Lynch (is this our 400m specialist?) 20.58 and Philip Matthews 21.27. Also on Friday, up north, Lee Magennis was 9th and 1st M45 in the Strangford 5k Gala (19.43).
