It’s Dublin Marathon time!

Clonliffe Harriers wishes all our athletes the very best of luck in Sundays Dublin City Marathon. Your training is done and hopefully you are fully prepared for the challenge ahead. We wish you all success in achieving your own personal goals on Sunday and we hope that you all enjoy one of the most special days on the Irish sporting calendar.

We also remind our athletes that under no circumstances should you wear a number/bib belonging to another athlete. There are a number of reasons for this. Wearing the wrong bib causes huge difficulties with results, as you know the Dublin Marathon is also the national marathon, you could therefore find yourself wearing the bib of an athlete who was in a different age category to you and indeed a different sex.  The principal reason, however,  is health and safety. If, heaven forbid, you suffered a medical emergency on the streets of Dublin and you are wearing someone else’s bib, the race organisers will have no way of contacting your next of kin. If you are thinking of wearing someone else’s bib, please think again.

As always if you are not running on Sunday please come to the race, your clubmates will be delighted to hear their names called out as they run through our capital city. The very best of luck to all.
