Masters bring medals home from Tullamore (updated)

Clonliffe Harriers master athletes have been in fine form in Tullamore today at the National Masters track and field championships. There was double gold in the shot put, Redeem Ngadze winning the M45 with an 11.28 best and his coach Niall Allen winning the M50 with 12.37. The golden duo repeated that feat in the discus – Redeem M45 gold (32.57) and Niall M50 gold (35.70) . For good measure Niall also bagged M50 WFD Silver (8.56) while Redeem also took M45 javelin bronze with 33.15.

In the 800s Niall Sherlock took M40 silver (2.11.19) and Diarmuid Doyle took M 65 gold (2.37.99).

Edel Maguire has got her day off to a winning start as she took W65 200 gold (30.39). Later Edel added 2 more golds: High Jump 1.35 and 400 70.92.

Gold once again for Frances Mansfield W80 hammer (16.17) and discus.

There was double pole vault gold, David Donegan M45 3.40 and Andreij Dmitrenko M55 3.00.

In the 5000 Tom Monks took M60 bronze (22.49.54) and Philip O’Doherty M65 silver (18.55.61)

Niall Sherlock won M40 1500 gold 4.19.12 and Diarmuid Doyle took M65 1500 bronze.
