Sergiu Ciobanu earned his latest Irish vest at yesterday’s European off road running championships (formerly the European mountain running championships) held in Ljubljana-Kamnik, Slovenia.
Sergiu completed in the “up-and-down race” a distance of 13 KM with an 825m ascent and then the same descent, finishing in 71st position in 1:18.50.
Sarah McCormack, the last Clonliffe woman to win the national senior Cross Country back in 2014, was 34th in the women’s Uphill race, 9km, in 1:08.53.
