Clonliffe’s senior men turned up in force for the St Coca’s 5k in Kilcock this evening on another sweltering day. This race has become a firm favourite and this year confirmed its status as one of the best 5k road races.
In a repetition of the Raheny 5 mile earlier in the year, Colm Rooney was in a foot race to the finish line with UCD’s Jonas Stafford. Jonas secured the win in 14:08, with Colm 2nd in 14:09.
Conor Fitzpatrick was next home in an impressive pb of 15:18, Lee Duddy was next in 15:21 with Cian Murray in 15:36. These 4 captured the men’s team title.
The team was backed up by Malcom Kiplagat 15:41, Eoin Maguire 15:44, Anto Doran 15:54, Andrew Gaffney in a pb of 16:46, Stephen Harkness 17:04, Philip Bacon 19:39. Andrew D’Arcy 20:08, John Torsney 20:06, Carl Fleming 21:40 and Maurice mc Crohan 23:27.
