Young Clonliffe sprinter Emily Jackna achieved one of her season’s goals on another sunkissed day at Morton Stadium as she set a new Clonliffe Harriers club women’s U/20 100 record of 12.32 at the AAI Games.
In series 1 Emily finished 7th in a time of 12.67 and then improved that time dramatically in series 2 finishing 2nd in a time of 12.32. This was all of 2/10th’s of a second faster than Leah Moore’s 2009 club record of 12.52.
In the men’s 100 Bilal Kanimodo finished 1st in his heat in series 1 in a time of 10.82 and in series 2 a significant improvement, again finishing 1st, clocking a time of 10.78. This time puts Bilal up to 7th in the Clonliffe Harriers all time list. Later in the programme he clocked an excellent 21.81 for 200 in finishing in 2nd position, that time putting just out of the top 10 on the Clonliffe all-time list. Christopher Lynch finished 4th in that race (22.14).
In a tactical 1500 Colm Rooney finished 3rd in 3.57.69 with Fintan Kerins 6th (3.57.97). Sean Carrigg finished 7th in the 800 in 1.53.05.
Eoin Sheridan won the discus with a best of 53.95. Euan Canniff is in the javelin, result to be posted.
