As will been noted from an earlier posting the European Masters track and field championships are now underway in Madeira, Portugal. Over the course of the weekend Clonliffe athletes have taken two gold medals: Edel Maguire M65 400 in a time of 68.44 on Saturday, October 11 and then yesterday, Sunday, Philip O’Doherty was on the Irish M65 cross country team that took team gold.
At home this weekend, much earlier than in previous years, the IUAA cross country championships took place in Tymon Park, there were some Clonliffe athletes competing – results here: https://www.popupraces.ie/race/iuaa-xc-championships-2025/
Sunday the 12th, Sean Doran took 1st place in the FASN 5k in Dundalk Co Louth in a time of 16.02.
