Pat Bonass Memorial 10,000m

On Thursday evening 11th June 2026, the annual 10,000m Club Championship and Grand Prix track race was held in Morton Stadium. For many years, this Championship race has been sponsored by the late Pat Bonass. The race is now held in his memory. Pat was a life member of Clonliffe having joined in 1971.

Pat was a founding member of the Clonliffe Harriers Grand Prix Series back in 2001, a series which revitalised many of the club races, giving club athletes a new sense of purpose and a year long racing series on the road, track, and country. Thursday night’s event was a fitting tribute to his memory.

The women’s race produced a thrilling finish with Aisling Andrews and Aideen O’Connor crossing the line together in a dramatic tie for first place. Orla Deighan followed closely behind to take third place.
