The weekend round up: great news on Friday night, May 29th, with the return to the track of Cathal Doyle as he works his way back to fitness following injury. Cathal clocked 3.39.72 over 1500 as he placed 9th in Bydgoszcz in Poland, his first race since last September’s World Championships.


In today’s Cork City Marathon the extraordinary Gary O’Hanlon took 4th place in the senior men’s race, 1st M50, in 2:26.59. Yuliia Taravosa was 11th woman, 5th W40, in 3: 03.17.
Saturday saw Sofia Chetelat racing at home in Riehen, Switzerland’s in the Swiss league championships where she raced twice firstly finishing 2nd in the 3000 in 10.08.57 and then 3 hours later, in 38°, she was 4th in the 800 in a time of 2.13.79.

On Wednesday, the 27th. Jack Doyle finished 4th in the BHAA Dunboyne 5 mile (26.52).
