Cathal Doyle was in action again on the circuit this weekend competing in New Balance Ko Meile, Düsseldorf. This is an elite road mile where he finished 5th in 3.55.33. On the face of it, this seems to be an Irish record, the previous is recorded as Eamonn Coghlan in London on July 4th 1975, 3.57.8. To be ratified.
Also today Stephen Scullion ran his 1st race in sometime finishing 11th in the Big Half, London in 67:05.
On Friday Lorraine O’Connor made her debut for Providence College in an invitational cross country race held at Highland Park, Attleboro, Massachusetts where she finished 16th and scored on the Providence College team that took the team win.
At the Dingle marathon on Saturday Anne Lyons ran 4:22.37. In the half marathon Sean Grimes 1:43.38, Declan Murray 2:08.13 and Caroline Daly 2:27.19.
